A CANTATA FOR JOHN MONASH

Expression of interest to perform on

Amiens, France

This public concert will be held on the afternoon of Sept 30 in a church in Amiens. Conductor David Kram with local orchestra and choruses

 

Preparation rehearsals:

North Melbourne on August 30, Sept  6, 13, 20. 

 

Concert programme will be:

 

1. An abridged version of the PEACE Cantata (Adults  No 1 Peace,  Eternal One (Volunteers), Pink Telegram, Blessed are the Peacemakers, 0808, Monash Letter, Finale. Children – No 1 Peace, Eternal One (Volunteers), Jerilderie, Do good, Our Little Town, The Eternal’ face, Finale). Some numbers have been shortened/simplified and some are in French or have a French component.

There are 16 numbers in all and two soloists, soprano and baritone. The accompaniment is concert band.

 

2. Faure Requiem – in Latin
